Writing and presenting a paper

These are helpful hints on writing a paper for the conference.

Papers should be 17 minutes long.  This translates into 10-11 pages typed in 12 PT Times Roman, double- spaced.  Time yourself reading your paper because it would be a shame to not give your whole paper.  Print it out in any size that is comfortable for you to read!

Practice reading your paper, be familiar enough with what you have a written so that you can heave eye contact with the audience, who get tired of looking at the top of your head.

Your work most likely has many facets, pick only a few for each paper. One project can yield many papers.
It’s a good thing to smile and breathe.

As the AAR says: “Be Brief, Be Witty, and Be seated!”
